PHI 2301 中國/東方哲學原典導讀:荀子

課程簡介

荀況為戰國晚期影響既深且鉅之儒者,其書屬於中國哲學史上文筆最精緻、論證最緊湊的著作。同時,《荀子》此書所涉及討論的範圍甚廣,包括倫理學、道德心理學、 政治哲學、知識論、語言哲學、心靈哲學、經濟學以及兵法。本科旨在引導學生詳細閱讀、解釋及分析《荀子》此一原典,以培養學生詮釋及批評中國哲學一手資料 的能力。上課討論的重點包括荀子的知識論、語言哲學、倫理學、政治理論以及道德心理學。至於上課的形式,將會為講師與學生共同解釋《荀子》不同文章段落的 內容、重建文章中的論證,並分組討論講師派發的思考題。此外,講師將指出荀子學說和先秦諸子與當代倫理學、知識論、語言哲學以及道德心理學的關係

課程要求

原典選讀、課堂討論參與以及平時課業(60%)、期末論文(40%)。期末論文題目及大綱遞交日期為1126;定稿遞交日期為1215
